DN is selling high-end craft items based on tradional woven rattan, particularly from West Kalimantan. A recent addition to the range of craft items is a line of bamboo garde ornaments.
However, the volume traded at present is still small and the crafts component does need a concerted effort to reach more customers, both domestically and abroad.
Equally important appears to be a boost in DN’s capacity for extensive communication with indigenous craft producers in Kalimantan and elsewhere
